Artist Statement
Painting is to me what meditation is for others. I’m most serene and creative when immersed in the beauty of colors! Being self taught, I continue to learn through trial and error and rigorously practicing for countless hours. I work diligently and find the process of staying focused on a painting, bringing a blank canvas to life, extremely therapeutic and rewarding!
I have almost always painted from my imagination in a style that is somewhere between impressionistic and realistic, using both Oils and Watercolors. In recent years, I’ve found myself leaning more towards realism. I simply adore Watercolors and try to make an interesting composition every time using a combination of reference photos and improvisations using my imagination!
You can see an eclectic mix of paintings in my portfolio as I love to experiment and challenge myself with different subject matter but at the same time, find a common thread of my own unique style running through each of them.
Each day that I get to paint is a gift in itself and every single painting that I create, whether it’s a Still Life or Landscape, Abstract or Floral, carries a piece of my heart within! I hope they brighten up your day as well!
